The purpose of a pool inspection is to evaluate the conditions of the pool and its equipment at the time of the inspection.

  1. Pool surroundings. Fencing, gates, enclosure, decking, patios walkway, diving areas, ladders, steps and electrical outlets.
  2. Pool surfaces. The pool surfaces and tile (cracks, discoloration, and worn areas) and the coping surrounding the pool (open joints, cracking).
  3. Pool equipment. The inspection of pool lights, electrical connections, outlets, gfci protection, timers, disconnects pumps, filters, exposed piping, heaters, controls, skimmers, and the appropriate electrical bonding is in place.
  4. Pool equipment operation. The operation of the pump, inspection for leakage, skimmers and filtration, heater, filter operation and leaks from the equipment.

After the pool inspection is completed a report will be sent in the evening, the same day as the inspection. The report will summarize our inspection results and include pictures of the pool with pictures of issues sited. There are maintenance suggestions. All the findings will help you in you understand the pool and its condition more thoroughly.

  • Fence the pool and install self-closing and self-latching gates that are out of reach of children.
  • Secure all doors and windows leading to the pool area.
  • Keep rescue equipment by the pool.
  • Place tables and chairs away from the fence to prevent children from climbing into the pool area.
  • Keep a telephone by the pool so you don’t have to leave children unattended while answering a telephone inside the house.
  • Do not use flotation devices as substitutes for supervision.
  • Keep toys away from the pool. A young child playing could accidentally fall into the water.
